Employees having a gala time!

A floor-wise festive decoration contest was organized for our employees on the occasion. Various departments got together enthusiastically to deck up their respective floors with flowers, vibrant rangoli designs, etc. creating a festive ambience. They adorned the entrance doorways with strings of fresh mango and neem leaves, which symbolizes hope for good fortune and general well-being. Each team set out traditional platters filled with fresh produce of the season, including grains, pulses, nuts, fruits, vegetables, etc. It was offered to the almighty and blessings were sought for everyone. Gudi Padwa (Maharashtrian new year festival) and village theme décor were among the few highlights from the celebrations.

Everyone savoured “Bevu Bella” – a traditional concoction of various ingredients like tamarind, neem leaves, jaggery, raw mango, pepper, and salt. The dish represents a balance of human emotions, and suggests that the coming year shall be filled with a blend of sweet, sour, salty, and bitter episodes. The celebrations ended with distribution of delicious treats to everyone.
