Celebrating 75 glorious years of independent India!
August 2022: In an answer to the Government of India’s call of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”, celebrations commenced in full swing at CA Grameen! To rejoice 75 glorious years of Independent India, our employees wore the tricolours and gathered to form a human flag at our Head Office. The occasion was graced by the presence of Ms. Jhansirani Lakshmi Achar amongst us as the chief guest. Ms. Achar, daughter of the late freedom fighter, Shri. KN Krishnamachari of Bagepalli, reminisced the days of freedom struggle undertaken by her father and his associates during the British rule in India.
In her address, she emphasised on the adoption of Swadeshi or indegenous products like Khadi clothing in our lifestyle. She then added, “these indegenous products produced from Charakha or hand-made spin wheel symbolizes self-reliance and gives economic boost to our cottage industries. Moreover, these are sustainable, eco and skin-friendly”.
She also shared heart-wrenching stories of the bloody massacre that took place in retailiation to the peaceful protests for freedom at Vidhurashwatha, Chikballapur district in Karnataka. The place is popularly known as Jalianwala Bagh of Karnataka. Further, she also introduced us to few medicinal plants and enlightened us about numerous health and beauty benefits infused in them. Her inspiring words instilled a sense of pride and patriotism amongst us.
Tri-colour salad spread contest
We also organized a tri-colour salad spread contest for our employees on the occasion. Departments from each floor got together to whip up scrumptious salads. Each team presented their platters inspired by various patriotic themes. The winner was adjuded on basis of creativity and judicious use of tricolours.
Mr. Ganesh Narayan, Dy. CEO&CBO, CA Grameen, thanked the chief guest for gracing the occasion and presented her a token of gratitude.
Our Tiranga, our pride: flag distribution across the nation!
We were honoured to join the Government of India’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative. To commemorate 75 glorious years of India’s independence, we distributed over 75,000+ National Flags across the nation.
